The past year was one of turmoil and tragedy in the COVID-19 pandemic and hardships for all during the lockdowns – all amidst some of the worst political mayhem and public division in recent history.
But now it’s 2021 and let’s hope for a better year and dream of a brighter future.
For our part we have resolved to ask ourselves regularly throughout the year how we might contribute to the healing process the world must undergo to move on from 2020. We will continue to bring news from around the globe to English speaking audiences, some of it quirky, some of it shining a light in places that deserve it or require it. But, as always, our eye will be on the credibility and trust a news organisation must aspire to for the important role it takes in society to be honoured.
We hope 2021 is the year that your unforgotten 2020 plans come to fruition.
